I'm just a geek-lovin' gal that spends my days fighting the zombie grind & at night I seek the safety of my crafty dreams. When I'm not blogging, I'm playing with string & working to pursue my dream of having my own online crafty shop.

Clear your mind!

Lately I’ve been feeling a little frazzled. Information over load? Too much brainstorming? An abundance of zombie fighting? There are some days where I feel like the next thing may make me explode. Ok, I know I won’t literally explode…but my screaming at the top of my lungs could very well cause someone’s eardrums to explode.

Be kind. Please unwind!

I recently downloaded a meditation app on my iPod Touch, basically something calming to listen to so that I can close my eyes & shut everything else out for just a few minutes. I forget about any frustrations or the many things that keep my mind spinning. Oh…my…goodness! I was so surprised with how wonderful just a few minutes of peace can be.

In the past I would turn to sticks & string for my release, but I found that while knitting is great for my soul during times like this…it wasn’t good for my gauge or my yarn. One minute that beautiful creation would fit like a glove. A few frustrating moments later & *BAM* it’s not even fit for a mutant. Now that I make it a point to clear my mind before handling pointy sticks, things are looks more like socks & less like a cozy for Cobra.

It’s so amusing how a tiny bit of technology can change a mood & my knitting with just one little app!

That’s my thought this Thursday…what’s yours?

I like this thought! I probably need to find me an app like that! Sometimes it just takes a little bit of ‘us’ time to get back on track! As always, thanks for linking up!!

Sometimes a thing as simple as taking a few deep breaths is all I need to calm back down. If you can’t do that at your desk, run to the bathroom for a few minutes to close your eyes & breathe.

Can I share my thought, even though it’s not Thursday?

I really need to stop raging against my life and start accepting it (and of course making it better). I’m just feeling so obstinate lately.
