Can't-Stitch-A-Lick T-shirt Scarves

I’m not the best gal to talk to you about fashion tips, but I do know what things I love. I’m a layer type of gal, which means that I love winter. Let’s face it…layers upon layers isn’t all that easy during those hot summer months. Now is my time to shine!

Apparently Mother Nature has something different in mind for our neck of the woods. We’ve seen a few flakes here & there, but lately we’ve been seeing temperatures in the 50′s. I’m sorry, but 50 doesn’t sound like winter to me. Sure, I can still wear some layers…but those gorgeous knitted scarves in my closet haven’t been snuggling around my neck much these past few days.

I’ve been a little busy lately, so I’ve been searching around Pinterest for some quick DIYs. That’s when I came across a few really awesome projects to fix my no-scarf blues. I love that both of them use old t-shirts (re-purposing makes my heart happy). T-shirt scarves are definitely light enough for our wacky weather. The best part? No stitching required! Can’t get much quicker than that.

I really don’t know if there is a faster project than this t-shirt scarf. I had no clue you could get such wispy fringe from a t-shirt! I’ve mentally gone through my closet right now to figure out what color t-shirt I should cut up for this. I don’t usually plan outfits ahead of time, but I’ve already been putting together the perfect ensemble for a scarf like this.

One thing I love most about this DIY is that you can get so many different scarves from the same instructions. I love any project that gives you a way to put your own personality into the FO (finished object). Braid it. Twist it. Knot it. This one definitely requires a bit more work than the first one, but you still don’t have to touch a needle or thread…unless you want to.

Do you have a favorite no-sew project?
